The boots originally come from cross-country skiing but have since been adapted for skating, now with a stiffer sole. The success of these skates is because they are very warm and comfortable. In addition they can skate on worse ice than normal ice skates. The blades is better able to slide over cracks and imperfections in the ice.
Once you try it, you'll never go back!

Blades
The Raps F skate is a blade with a special shape. This makes it very strong. It is not the lightest (check the Maple Multi blades), but very high quality.
